Gutter Magazine

Media Reviews for his fiction:

“[In ‘How We Named The Stars’] Ordorica portrays Daniel and Sam’s encounters with tenderness and heat, and Daniel’s aching and poignant narration, which seamlessly alternates between addressing the reader and speaking directly to Sam, is chock-full of wisdom. This is dazzling.”

Publishers Weekly, starred review

“Though “How We Named the Stars” tackles heavy subjects, including death, the story is not a tragedy. Even in moments of strife, resentment is absent. Conflict is always coupled with forgiveness. Rather than surrendering to hardship, Ordorica’s novel basks in love’s everlasting promise. Because for Daniel and Sam, that love is kind, it is honest and it is infinite.”

New York Times Book Review

“A college romance between two closeted young men spirals into a border-crossing story of tragic death, family secrets, and unexpected revelations.

Told with authenticity and compassion, this unconventional love story redefines notions of fraternity.
